Often referred to as the “grey duck” the Gadwall drake is actually quite a showman with his classy grey, black, white and even a wing shoulder of burnt red coloring. Presented here is one of my favorites, the “Grey Duck” aka the Gadwall Drake!

All hand crafted by Joe Bucher from American black walnut wood this hand turned duck call shows off the refined look of the Gadwall Drake. Entirely hand carved with attention to natural form and shape, this call was meticulously hand painted by Joe using only the very finest European artist oil paints made. The hand painting and inclusion of the minute detail made this call a particular challenge, but the result is there, a stunningly beautiful Gadwall Drake profile, the best, one of my favorite wildfowl!
